A library of plotting components for Visual C++ applications.
PlotLab is a set of Visual C++ components that can be integrated into applications to provide data visualization functionalities. These components make the work quick and easy. Components are for scientific chart component for plotting multi-channel data. Waterfall is a component for data plotting that is particularly suitable for FFT results. Common features supported include zooming, navigation, direct printing, clipboard copy, save to file and others. The components are built with multi-threading so that they operate as fast as possible. A multi-waterfall component lets you help plot multi-channel waterfall charts. Bars component helps implement display of multiple channels as lines, points or bars. The toolbar controls help you hold/resume the screen update, zooming - Auto, In/Out, Undo/Redo, save to Bitmap or JPEG, print, copy, setup, etc. Legends on the data plots can be made interactive.
End users of your application that includes these components will be able to identify and setup the channels, markers, cursors, selections, and measurements very easily. Important points on the channels can have custom labels. It is possible for the users to measure distances on the plots. It is possible to show horizontal and vertical intersections between cursors and channels. Selection of and highlighting horizontal and vertical areas is possible on the plots. The component library provides markers for highlighting important points too. The toolset is well documented with example source code snippets that highlight the integration process. If you are working with VC++ and need this support for scientific plotting, this tool can be really handy. This is a very good product.
